CESES at the Volunteer Festival in Mechelen!

From May 9th to 10th, CESES proudly took part in the Volunteer Festival in Mechelen, part of the city’s dynamic role as the European Volunteering Capital 2025. With our tent set up among over 70 incredible organisations, we had the opportunity to showcase our work on senior expert volunteering, active ageing, and intergenerational solidarity.

The festival was energetic, bringing together local and international actors in the volunteering space. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of civic engagement, and we were thrilled to connect with so many enthusiastic visitors who were curious about CESES’ mission and how senior citizens across Europe are contributing their time, knowledge, and experience for the public good.

A big thank you to the organisers for creating such a welcoming and inspiring event — and to everyone who stopped by our stand to learn more. These moments of connection are exactly what volunteering is about.
